Nostalgic Y2K Photobooth

This project was designed and vibe-coded entirely by me using Figma Make.

The initial motivation was simple: I really miss the old sticker photo booths from my hometown in the early 2000s, with their glittery, colorful frames and playful stickers. Taking photos with my friends became part of my teenage years, and it was a special memory for many of us born after 1990.

Over time, the original sticker photo booth culture, known as purikura in Japan or Neo Prints in the 1990s, gradually declined. Although photo booths still exist today, they are often found at large parties or events, where people hold props and take quick photos. But the joy of choosing frames, layering stickers, and fully customizing each picture has faded.

Rather than simply recreating nostalgia, I tried to embrace the new while preserving the old.

You still get the immersive feeling of being inside a booth, layering colorful Y2K stickers and customizing frames just like before. At the same time, it offers greater flexibility through brush styles, stroke weight, and AI-driven quotes for your moments.
